And there, sitting in her seat, Mrs. Grace felt her heart clench.
This testimony deeply affected everyone. She herself almost doubted herself.
Perhaps she had truly misunderstood God. Perhaps fear had deceived her.
The pastor then returned to the altar. His voice was full of authority.
“The Spirit of God shows me yet another arrow of death that is prowling about.”
The church instantly became tense.
“I will pray for everyone again today.”
Immediately, the choir resumed its singing. The congregation eagerly rose to their feet. This time, no one wanted to miss the laying on of hands. Fear had already taken hold of the atmosphere.
As the pastor stepped down from the altar and began to move between the rows, Mrs. Grace discreetly lowered her head.
Then suddenly, the voice returned.
If you receive it, you will see paper and you will call it money, and you will fight for your survival.
A deep fear gripped his chest.
No not yet.
She had already made a fool of herself the previous week. She couldn’t imagine publicly refusing the pastor a second time.
His breathing became difficult.
The pastor continued to pray for the congregation, row after row. Some fell, others cried out. Mrs. Grace clutched her Bible and began to pray silently.
Lord, help me to understand.
Then suddenly, her spiritual eyes opened.
Everything around her remained physically normal.
But as soon as the pastor reached out towards the people, she no longer saw fingers or a palm. She saw the thick, scaly head of a giant snake resting on the person’s forehead.
A wave of chilling horror overwhelmed her. She blinked, praying for the hallucination to fade, but it only grew clearer.
With each touch, the snake seemed to strike.
She didn’t wait.
While the congregation was deep in prayer, Mrs. Grace picked up her bag and quietly left the pews, her heart pounding. She only stopped when she was in her car.
As soon as she got into her car, she locked the doors and slumped against the seat. Her chest rose and fell rapidly. She was unable to start the engine.
“My God, what’s happening?” she whispered.
Nothing made sense anymore.
It was the same church where God had led her years before, when her life was falling apart. Back then, she owned almost nothing. Her small fabric business was on the verge of collapse. Debt overwhelmed her. She remembered nights spent crying herself to sleep, wondering how she would ever get out of it.
Then she went to the church.
Gradually, things changed. Business deals were struck. She owned a chain of import companies and real estate investments across the country. What had started as a small fabric business had grown into a multimillion-dollar empire. Within a few years, she had become one of the most successful businesswomen in the state. Everywhere she went, she inspired admiration.
And throughout this ordeal, the pastor had always been there, praying for her.
She financed projects for the church, bought the pastor’s company car, paid for her children’s school fees, and helped members in need. The church had become like a family to her.
So why would God suddenly warn her against this same pastor?
As she sat there, confused, something else happened.
Her surroundings faded away. Her eyes opened spiritually once more. And suddenly, a revelation flooded her mind.
She saw the pastor in a dark room, kneeling before unknown men. Candles burned around them. Incantations filled the air.
Then she understood.
The pastor had secretly retreated into darkness, impatient to wait for God’s appointed time. He desired glory, influence, and power more quickly.
The revelation deepened.
She saw him lay hands on people, but spiritually, something left them each time he touched their head. Light, virtue, and glory left them, and those same qualities flowed into him.
Mrs. Grace froze in horror.
Then, understanding dawned on his mind concerning the forehead and the head.
She began to have visions of passages from Scripture related to spiritual identity, belonging, sealing, authority, and destiny. Suddenly, she understood why all spiritual contact was not without danger.
Some hands have blessed. Others have corrupted. Some have bestowed healing. Others have bestowed slavery.
Tears welled up in her eyes.
The revelations kept coming, almost too many for her to bear. She remained motionless in the car for several minutes.
Then suddenly…
Knock knock.
She jumped violently.
A security guard was standing in front of the window.
“Madam, please move forward a little further. Another car wishes to pass.”
The vision vanished immediately. Reality returned instantly.
Mrs. Grace looked around her, disoriented. Her body was trembling. Her palms were soaked with sweat.
“How could the pastor have done that?” she whispered to herself.
Slowly, she started the car and drove home in silence.
She spent the rest of the day at home praying, reading the Scriptures, and trying to calm her troubled heart. But one question kept nagging at her.
Should she continue to attend this church, or was it finally time to leave it?
The following Sunday, Mrs. Grace did not return to church.
For the first time in years, his seat remained empty.
Some members noticed it immediately. Others assumed that pride had finally gone to his head because of his wealth.
But the pastor never called her.
Not once.
No message. No concern. No attempt to understand why one of the ministry’s most important pillars had suddenly disappeared.
Instead, church activities continued as normal, and each service followed the same frightening pattern.
One Sunday, the pastor announced that he had seen a spirit of sudden death strike families. Another Sunday, he declared that Satan was plotting terrible accidents against the faithful. In other weeks, he warned of spiritual attacks targeting businesses and marriages.
Fear had become a common atmosphere inside the church.
People arrived at the services tense and desperate. And each time fear invaded the room, the solution was always the same.
Laying on of hands.
The faithful rushed towards him, overwhelmed by emotion. Some were crying even before he touched them. Others clung to the altar, trembling with fear.
No one realized what was really happening behind the scenes.
While people thought they were being protected, many were gradually losing things they couldn’t explain.
Favor disappeared. Peace vanished. Joy faded. Open doors began to close mysteriously.
