Restless legs syndrome
Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is characterized by an irresistible urge to move the legs, often accompanied by discomfort. People with diabetes often suffer from RLS, and its symptoms worsen at night.
Nocturnal leg cramps:
Leg cramps, especially at night, are another nocturnal warning sign of diabetes. The resulting pain and discomfort can make sleep difficult. Combining stretching exercises with appropriate medication can provide relief.
