Joanna entered the hospital on a freezing Tuesday morning without anyone by her side.
Without a husband.
Without a family.
Without friends.
Only with an old suitcase, a worn sweater and nine months of pain that she had learned to carry alone.
At the reception, a nurse smiled politely at her.
“Will your husband come later?”
Joanna smiled awkwardly.

Joanna burst into tears.

“Is he all right?” Ask in a broken voice.
A nurse carefully wrapped the baby in a warm blanket and smiled.
“He’s perfect.”
